Judson Claiborne

It’s nearly winter and we’re still chipping away at writing and recording a new record. We’ve worked a lil out at the lovely Key Club Recording Co in Benton Harbor & Minbal here in Chicago Not an insane amount of news to report other than..jud will be on a solo tour this dec & jan in the midwest and southwest performing some new songs and perhaps some old favorites..check the shows page for the dates of course..Mr. Bill Mackay of Darts & Arrows is joining us on guitar these days, holy shit are we lucky..

i hope you are in love and in good health. this summer has thus far been a time of listening and not being too awful busy. we’re beginning work on some new recordings but taking the slow train. a few weeks back, we headed out to key club recording co. in benton harbor michigan with our mighty engineer Tim Iseler and Marketa Irglova who sang some incredible harmonies on a couple of tunes…jud has a couple of exciting solo shows in chicago coming up at the comfort station & the found sound music festival. will do my best to let you know when it’s pinata time. xo

we’ve begun work on some new tunes and plan to release a 7″ this fall on La Societe Expedionnaire..also added a new member > the reverend jacob f. ross on guitar (ribbon effect, crumpler, low skies, warmbloods) and have plans to tour this may & june with wicked spooky song spinner daniel knox! see shows page for details…also from may to august, jud is holding down a monthly residency in chicago at maria’s packaged goods & community bar…hmmmm, i guess that’s all for now…

I’ll be touring the uk jan 21 – 29 with a rag tag group of songwriters this january! my travel companions are Matt Bauer, Dana Falconberry, & Eoin O’ Ruainigh!  we’ll all be playing the shh! festival in london on the 22nd w/ Stuart Breathwaite (Mogwai) & many others! yes! for dates, check the shows page!
